Jibe Cycleworks Introduces the Jester 29” Full-Suspension Party Bike
The Jester is the fourth model from the Salt Lake City-based brand, founded in 2022 in the heart of the Wasatch Mountains.
As its name suggests, the Jester is designed to challenge traditional expectations and conventions of mountain biking. This full-suspension 120mm travel bike excels across a wide range of trail conditions. The shorter travel makes it ideal for epic cross-country rides, while the robust split pivot platform, longer front end, and slacker headtube allow it to thrive on fast and rowdy trails.
Jibe offers the Jester in five builds with customizable options, down to the wheel nipple color, allowing riders to create a bike that reflects their personal style. Prices range from $3,500 to $7,700, with build kits featuring SRAM AXS Transmission or Shimano drivetrains, RockShox, Fox, or Marzocchi suspension, and Vittoria tires. The Jester is also available as a frame with a Fox Factory Float shock for $2,100.
The Jester’s frame features the proven Split Pivot suspension system, which effectively separates braking forces from suspension movement, providing a smooth, controlled ride with enhanced grip and stability. The suspension kinematics are engineered to create an 11% leverage ratio, offering a bottomless feel when handling big hits while maintaining pedaling efficiency.
With modern geometry, including a 65-degree head angle, 76-degree seat angle, and 17-inch chainstays, the Jester transitions seamlessly from an XC adventure machine to a playful, forgiving trail or park bike. The steep 76-degree seat tube positions the rider forward for better power transfer, while the long and slack front-end design delivers an enthusiastic experience on descents.
“The Jester is a super fun bike,” says Jason Halverson. “It climbs easily with minimal suspension bob and handles technical rocky sections with ease. On descents, it rips—smooth, playful, and capable of soaking up big hits.”
The 2300g frame includes space for two water bottles inside the front triangle, Boost 110/148 spacing front and rear, post-mount brakes for 160mm rotors, a PressFit 92 bottom bracket, 31.6mm seat post diameter, a 1 ⅛ - 1.5-inch tapered steerer tube, and clean cable routing under the handlebars for reduced cable stiction and weight savings. Max tire width is 2.5 inches, and the frame meets all ISO testing standards for strength, impact, pedaling, vertical, horizontal, vibration, and fatigue.
The Jibe Jester is available in four frame sizes, from SM to XL, fitting riders from 4'10" to 6'6", and comes in two colors: Galactic Blue and Lava Flow. Bikes are available now through the Jibe website, where they are fully assembled and quality-checked before shipping. Customers can also pick up their bikes at Jibe headquarters, fully assembled and fitted to the rider.
